Paprec in Action Against Floods in Spain: A Rapid and Supportive Response

espagne

In the face of the devastating floods that struck Spain, Paprec quickly mobilized its teams to support local authorities and affected communities. Through a collective and coordinated effort, several companies within the group provided assistance.

CTR, a specialist in waste treatment, deployed pumps to remove water from flooded parking lots, helping to prevent further material damage.

Guerola and EcoActrins sent trucks, bins, and personnel to clear the streets of debris, abandoned cars, and other waste, facilitating traffic flow and the resumption of activities in the affected areas.

Recimed, for its part, provided heavy-duty trucks to transport bulky materials to designated sites outside the cities. The Villena landfill was opened 24/7 to ensure the swift and efficient management of waste.

CLD responded quickly by sending bins and mobile garbage containers (BOM) in coordination with the city of Barcelona and the Valencian administration. These resources were used to strengthen waste collection efforts in Valencia and other cities impacted by the DANA weather phenomenon, in collaboration with the firefighters.

In addition to these logistical interventions, Paprec Spain also made a financial contribution of €75,000 to support the region in managing this crisis. This mobilization demonstrates Paprec’s commitment to communities and the environment, especially in times of disaster.

A big congratulations to our Spanish teams for their responsiveness and dedication during these challenging times.
